With more than 600 restaurants to choose from, Plano offers a worldwide selection of
cuisine from regional American to Barbecue, Tex-Mex to Mediterranean fruitti de mare,
Italian, East Indian, Chinese, Japanese and more. The city of Plano's web site

Located in one of the three major merchandising centers in the United States, Plano is
a fashionable town with more than 70 shopping centers, conveniently located throughout the
city. Collin Creek Mall boasts more than 160 specialty stores, many one-of-a-kind or
exclusive to the mall, anchored by J.C. Penney's, Sears', Dillard's, Foley's and Mervyn's.
The mall is also host to many cultural and children's events. Hundreds of
retailers are in the city for your shopping convenience, with a major concentration of
national stores surrounding Preston/Park Blvd. In addiiton, 3 major malls
have opened or will open in the next year including the Stonebriar Mall in
Frsico, The Allen Outlet Center and the Shops at Willow Bend.
Other shopping malls of national recognition are within a 20 minute drive or less including
the Galleria, the second most important visitor destination in the Metroplex. Northpark
Center, Valley View Mall and Vista Ridge Mall. Plano Market Square appeals to the
discriminating off-price shopper. If collectibles and antiques are more to your liking,
you will enjoy the quaint shops in downtown Plano, where unique shops are housed in turn-of-the-century
buildings. Supermarkets and convenience stores are also plentiful, many with 24-hour
service.
